Open Section: Open to players USCF rated 2000 or above. Open section is FIDE rated and USCF Rated, but uses FIDE playing rules. Play-up is only allowed for 1800+, $15 extra to play up.

GM/IM/WGM/WIM receive free entry without prize deduction if registered before 1/11. Please email chessclubsanjose@gmail.com to enter.

Reserve Section: Open to USCF 1500-2000. Play up is only allowed for 1300+, $15 extra to play up.

Booster Section: Open to USCF u1500.

Both: 5 rounds; G/90; 30 second increment

Early online registration before 1/11 is $110, afterwards it will be $120.

Registration will close at Friday midnight.

There will be no onsite registration. USCF rules/ratings used to award prizes, pairing purposes. All players must have a valid, active USCF membership to play.

Open Section = 1st: $750, 2nd: $375, 3rd: $225, Top U2200, $150.

Reserve Section (1500-2000) = 1st: $525, 2nd: $300, 3rd: $187.50, Top U1700: $150

Reserve Section (u1500) = 1st: $300, 2nd: $150, 3rd: $112.50, Top unrated: $75

Boards and pieces are provided, but players should bring clocks
